✨ Story Summary
The children travel with Toby the Magic Train to the Shell Village beach, where they help a shy doll named Celeste organize a surprise birthday party for a little crab named Tino.
It was a windy autumn afternoon. The orange leaves flew around the garden like crazy butterflies, and the gray clouds raced quickly across the sky. It looked like it might rain, but for now the sun peeked out every so often from behind the clouds.
Ale, Viola, Eletta, and Lori were inside the house, sitting on the soft living room carpet. They were playing with a big wooden dollhouse. Ale made a little figure jump up and down the stairs.
"Look! It jumps like me!" said Ale laughing, while the figure bounced from one step to another.
Viola arranged the tiny furniture carefully. "No, the couch goes here," she said with a confident voice, moving a small red sofa.
Eletta held a little doll with a blue dress and looked at it sweetly. Her eyes were already a bit tired, but she wanted to keep playing.
Lori ran around the carpet making train sounds. "CHOO CHOO! I'm a train!"
Right at that moment, a sound came from outside. But it wasn't Lori.
"CHOOOOO CHOOOOO!"
The four children looked up. They knew that sound!
The garden door opened by itself, and among the flying leaves appeared Toby the Magic Train. He was small, colored red and blue, with eyes that sparkled like fireflies.
"Hello children, what a lovely time! I'll take you where the wind does chime! Beautiful shells on golden sand, a magical treasure awaits, so grand!"
The children jumped to their feet excitedly.
"The little train! The little train!" shouted Ale clapping his hands.
Grace, Ale's mom, peeked out from the kitchen. "Oh, Toby! Where are you taking them this time?"
"To the sea, dear mom, don't you worry, they'll come back happy in a hurry!" answered Toby with a cheerful whistle.
The four friends climbed aboard the magic train. Sophie, Ale's black cat, jumped on board first, followed by Dora the brave tabby. Chubby too climbed up with effort, while Milo made a big leap and landed perfectly on the wagon.
"Hold on tight, we're off!" And with a big CHOOOOO, Toby flew away through the clouds.
The little train crossed a rainbow hidden behind the gray clouds, and when it came out the other side, the children's mouths fell open.
Below them was a beautiful beach. The sand was golden and shiny, and everywhere you could see people walking with their heads down, looking for something. Colorful little houses stood near the sea, with roofs made of giant shells.
"Welcome to the Village of Shell Seekers!" announced Toby, landing gently on the sand.
The children got off and looked around in wonder. The sky was getting dark, but not because of rain. It was evening! And in the sky the first stars were beginning to shine.
"How beautiful!" whispered Eletta.
Ale ran straight toward the shore, followed by his four cats. But he stopped suddenly when he saw something strange behind an overturned boat.
Two eyes were watching him, scared.
"Who's there?" asked Ale, tiptoeing closer.
Behind the boat was a doll. But it wasn't a normal doll. It moved! She had hair as blonde as the sand, a little dress made of dried flower petals, and around her neck she wore a necklace made of tiny shells that sparkled in the moonlight.
The doll was trembling a little and smelled of vanilla and sea salt.
"Hello," said Ale kindly. "What's your name?"
The doll took a small step forward, walking on tiptoe like a ballerina. "My name is Celeste," she said in a thin little voice. "I'm a bit timorous around strangers."
"Timo-what?" asked Lori scratching his head.
Celeste blushed. "Timorous. It means I'm a bit scared."
"Oh!" said Viola nodding. "Like when I'm scared of the dark!"
Celeste smiled shyly. "Yes, exactly like that."
"But why are you hiding?" asked Eletta approaching slowly so as not to frighten her.
Celeste's eyes filled with tears. "Tomorrow is my friend Tino's birthday. He's a tiny little crab, the smallest in the village. I wanted to organize a surprise party for him, but I don't know how! I haven't found enough colored shells to decorate, and I'm too shy to ask the other seekers for help."
Ale's four cats surrounded Celeste, as if to protect her. Sophie rubbed her little nose against her hand, and the doll smiled.
"We'll help you!" said Ale enthusiastically. "Right, friends?"
"Yeeees!" they all shouted together.
Celeste clapped her porcelain hands. "Really? Oh, thank you!"
So the search began. But there was a problem: it was almost dark, and finding colored shells in the dark sand was very difficult.
Ale ran back and forth, digging with his hands. "I can't see them!" he said worried.
Viola searched with determination, but she couldn't find anything either. "It's too dark!"
Lori was super fast, running from one side of the beach to the other, but he always came back empty-handed.
Eletta had sat down on the sand, exhausted. "We can't do it," she murmured sadly.
Celeste hid behind Chubby, the big fat cat, and began to cry softly. "Poor Tino won't have his party."
Right at that moment, something magical happened.
In the dark sky, a bright star began to fall! Then another, and another. Soon the sky was filled with shooting stars, leaving silver trails in the darkness.
"Shooting stars!" shouted Ale. "We can make a wish!"
Everyone closed their eyes. Ale wished with all his heart to be able to help Celeste and Tino.
When he opened his eyes again, the beach was glowing! The shooting stars had left luminous dust on the sand, and now all the colored shells sparkled like little gems: red, blue, green, yellow, purple!
"Look!" yelled Lori pointing everywhere.
The children started collecting shells with joy. The cats helped in their own way: Dora pushed them with her paw, Milo jumped from one to another, Sophie sniffed them out to find them, and Chubby... well, Chubby had laid down on a giant shell and was purring.
In no time they had collected a huge pile of sparkling shells.
"Now let's decorate!" said Celeste, finally happy.
They worked all night. They hung shells from the tree branches near Tino's little house. They made a colorful garland. They prepared a sand cake decorated with the most beautiful shells.
When the sun began to rise, everything was ready. The dawn light made the decorations shine wonderfully.
"It's beautiful!" said Celeste with eyes shiny with happiness.
But then she noticed something. There was a special shell, big and golden, that they had found. It was the most beautiful of all.
"Who will give it to Tino as a gift?" asked Celeste.
Everyone wanted it. It was so beautiful!
"I saw it first!" said Lori.
"But I picked it up!" said Viola.
Ale looked at the golden shell. He wanted it so much too. But then he thought about Tino, the tiny little crab, the one who was always last in races because his little legs were so short.
"Wait," said Ale. "Let's have a running race to decide who wins it!"
Everyone lined up. Tino the little crab had appeared, woken up by the noises, and was looking confused at the decorations.
"SURPRISE!" everyone shouted.
Tino almost fell over with joy. "For me? All this is for me?"
"Yes!" said Celeste hugging him. "And now let's have a race! Whoever wins gets the golden shell!"
Tino was sad. "I always lose races. I'm too small."
Ale looked at his friends and gave a little nod. Viola understood. Eletta understood. Lori understood.
"Ready? Go!" shouted Celeste.
Everyone took off. Tino ran with his tiny little legs, trying his very best. Ale, who was super fast, slowed down. Lori, even faster, pretended to trip. Viola walked instead of running. Eletta stopped to look at a butterfly.
Tino came first!
"I WON! I WON!" shouted the little crab, jumping with joy.
His little eyes sparkled like stars. Ale placed the golden shell between his claws.
"It's yours, champion!" said Ale smiling.
Tino was so happy that he was crying and laughing at the same time. "This is the best birthday of my life!"
Celeste hugged Ale. "Thank you," she whispered. "You gave up the shell to make Tino happy."
Ale felt his heart warm inside. "You know what? I'm happier now than if I had won it myself!"
Viola, Eletta, and Lori were smiling. They felt good inside too.
"CHOOOOO CHOOOOO!"
Toby the Magic Train arrived on the golden beach.
"What a lovely party you've made here! A generous heart shines bright and clear! Those who give to others with love so true, have a heart of gold, through and through!"
The children waved goodbye to Celeste and Tino, who were waving their little claws and hands.
"Come back soon!" shouted Celeste, no longer timorous.
"Thank you friends!" squeaked Tino clutching his shell.
The four friends climbed onto the train with the cats. As they flew toward home, they could still see the shooting stars in the sky.
Ale closed his eyes and made another wish: to return soon to the Shell Village.
When they arrived home, Grace was waiting for Ale at the door.
"How was it, sweetheart?" she asked, hugging him tight.
"Mom," said Ale, "I discovered something important. When you make someone else happy, you become happy too! It's like magic!"
Grace hugged him tighter. "You're right, my love. This is called being generous."
And that night, Ale fell asleep with a heart full of warmth, dreaming of golden shells and shooting stars.

**The moral of this story:** Being generous makes you feel good inside. When we give something away or let a friend win to see them happy, our hearts fill with joy. Generosity is like a hug that warms both the one who receives it and the one who gives it. You don't need to keep everything for yourself: the greatest happiness is the one you share!
