It was a gray and windy morning. Alex, Violet, Ellie, and Lori were playing in the playroom, building a castle with cardboard boxes. Outside the window, they could see dark clouds racing quickly across the sky.

"I want to be the queen of the castle!" said Violet in her determined tone, putting a colorful paper crown on her head.

"And I'm the king!" laughed Alex, jumping into a box.

Ellie and Lori were decorating the castle walls with drawings when suddenly they heard that familiar sound: "CHUFF CHUFF!"

"Toby!" they all shouted together, running to the window.

The magic train was glowing with a golden light despite the gray sky. The four children ran outside, followed by Sophie, Dora, Poldo, and Milo, Alex's four cats who meowed curiously.

"Hello children, what a beautiful day! I'm taking you to a place full of elegance and majesty!" said Toby the Magic Train in his cheerful voice.

Everyone climbed aboard, and the cats settled next to Alex too. The train left with a whistle and began to run fast, faster and faster, until everything around them became a cloud of brilliant colors.

When they stopped, the children's eyes went wide. They were standing before an enormous door, all decorated with drawings of golden and silver stars.

"Look how big it is!" said Ellie, raising her head to see where the door ended.

Violet pushed the door and they entered. "WOW!" they all exclaimed together.

It was a huge room, full of wonderful clothes hanging everywhere. There were red and blue cloaks with golden edges, skirts that sparkled like rainbows, shirts with buttons shining like diamonds, and so many crowns of every color.

"It's the royal wardrobe!" said Lori, touching a purple velvet cloak.

Violet immediately ran toward a particularly beautiful crown, all decorated with blue stones that sparkled. "I want this one!" she said, taking it and putting it on her head.

But right at that moment, they felt a flash in the air. Among the clothes, suspended in mid-air inside a large glass bowl full of water, a little orange fish was swimming. The fish had scales that sparkled like little suns and swam quickly doing elegant pirouettes.

"Oh, look at the little fish!" said Ellie, approaching cautiously.

The fish stopped and looked at them with his big round eyes. "Welcome to the Royal Wardrobe! I am Saffron, the guardian of these precious clothes. Be careful not to be greedy with the treasures you see here!"

"Greedy?" asked Alex, scratching his head. "What does greedy mean?"

The fish did a pirouette in the water. "Greedy means wanting too much for yourself, taking all the things without thinking of others. It means being selfish and wanting everything."

"Ah, understood!" the children said together.

Violet touched the crown on her head. That word – greedy – made her think, but the crown was so beautiful that she didn't want to take it off.

"You should know," continued Saffron, "that in this room there is a magic lantern that lights up all these wonderful clothes. Without that light, the wardrobe becomes dark and cold, and all the clothes lose their magic."

Alex's four cats began sniffing around, curious. Milo made a big jump onto a tall wardrobe.

Suddenly, Violet saw another crown, even more beautiful, all golden with red rubies. Without thinking, she ran to grab it. Then she saw yet another one, emerald green, and she took that one too. Her arms were full of crowns.

"Violet, that's too many!" said Ellie in her sweet voice.

But Violet wasn't listening. She also saw a beautiful cloak, all sparkling, and she wanted that too. She began running around the room, taking more and more things: necklaces, bracelets, tiaras.

"Children, be careful!" said Saffron, swimming nervously in his bowl. "If you take too much without thinking of others, something bad happens!"

But right at that moment, as Violet grabbed yet another crown, she bumped something with her elbow. It was a thin, tall pedestal. On top was the magic lantern!

"WATCH OUT!" shouted Lori.

Everything happened in an instant. The lantern wobbled, then fell to the ground with a dull thud. The flame inside went out with a hiss.

"Oh no!" cried Saffron.

Immediately, the whole room plunged into darkness. Nothing could be seen anymore. The clothes stopped sparkling, the colors disappeared. It was cold, everything was gray and sad.

"I can't see anything!" said Alex, frightened.

Sophie, Dora, Poldo, and Milo meowed worriedly in the dark, trying to stay close to Alex.

"Help!" whispered Ellie, who was a little afraid of the dark.

Violet let all the crowns she was holding fall. She felt terrible. She had wanted too much for herself and now she had ruined everything. Tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry!" she said with a trembling voice. "It's my fault! I wanted all those crowns just for myself and I didn't think about anything else!"

Saffron's voice came from the darkness: "The magic lantern can only be relit with a special medicine. You must create a potion using three magic herbs that grow here in the wardrobe."

"But how can we find them in the dark?" asked Lori, worried.

"I can help!" said Violet with determination, even though she was still trembling a little. "I want to fix the mistake I made!"

"I'll help you search," said Saffron, and his bowl began to emit a soft, orange light that came from his shining scales. "Listen carefully: you need silver grass that grows near the mirrors, golden grass that is found under the oldest cloaks, and blue grass that grows next to the king's shoes."

"We have to work together!" said Alex. "Violet, you look for the silver grass. I'll look for the golden one. Ellie and Lori, you look for the blue one!"

The four cats decided to help. Sophie guided Violet toward the mirrors with her eyes that glowed in the dark. Dora, brave as always, went with Alex. Poldo and Milo followed Ellie and Lori.

In the darkness, with only Saffron's small light, the children began to search. Violet felt with her hands near the mirrors, until she felt something cool and soft. "I found it!" she shouted, holding the silver grass that glowed faintly.

Alex lifted an ancient cloak, heavy and dusty. Underneath, he saw the golden grass shining. "Me too!" he said happily.

Ellie and Lori found a pair of enormous boots decorated with crowns. Lori bent down and found the blue grass growing right next to them. "We have it!"

Everyone ran to Saffron, bringing the three herbs. The fish swam excitedly in his bowl. "Well done! Now you must mix the three herbs together in that golden bowl you see there!"

Violet took the bowl and, very carefully, the children put the three herbs inside. They mixed them together with their hands. The herbs began to glow and create a luminous rainbow-colored powder.

"Now put it in the lantern!" said Saffron.

Violet, with her hands trembling a little, took the magic powder and poured it into the extinguished lantern. For a moment nothing happened.

Then, suddenly, a beautiful flame lit up inside the lantern! It was a flame of all colors, dancing and spinning. The light spread throughout the whole room.

The clothes began to sparkle again, the colors became vivid again, warmth filled the wardrobe. Everything was magical and beautiful again!

"HOORAY!" all the children shouted, hugging each other happily.

The cats meowed contentedly, and Poldo rolled on the floor with joy.

Violet still had tears in her eyes, but this time they were tears of happiness. "I'm so sorry I wanted everything for myself," she said to her friends. "I saw those crowns so beautiful and I wanted them all, without thinking that it was wrong. I understood that it's important to share and not be selfish."

"It's okay Violet," said Ellie, hugging her. "The important thing is that you understood!"

"And that we solved everything together!" added Alex, making Sophie bounce in his arms.

Saffron did a big happy pirouette in his bowl. "You learned an important lesson, children. Those who think only of themselves and want everything for themselves, in the end remain alone and sad. But you worked together and stayed friends. This is the true treasure!"

The children said goodbye to Saffron and left the Royal Wardrobe. Toby the Magic Train was waiting outside, ready to take them home.

"What an adventure, what excitement! You learned a beautiful lesson!" said Toby the Magic Train, and with a "CHUFF CHUFF" he set off again.

When they arrived home, the four friends hugged each other tightly. Violet felt light and happy. She had understood that beautiful things are more beautiful when shared with friends, and that being selfish only brings problems and sadness.

That evening, when Violet went to bed, she thought about how lucky she was to have such special friends. And she fell asleep with a smile, dreaming not of crowns and cloaks, but of her friends' smiles.

**MORAL OF THE STORY:**
Children, this story teaches us that we shouldn't be selfish and want everything for ourselves. When we think only about what we want, without thinking of others, we can cause harm and end up alone. It's much nicer to share beautiful things with our friends and help each other. True happiness isn't about having many things, but about being together with the people we love!
